The words I have been told reverberate in my head until I start telling them myself. To find the strength to rebel, to fight and to endure I need those words to be nourishing my anger and my love.
endurance consists of phrases that are uplifting, encouraging and empowering, sent to me from friends and colleagues in different languages. This collectively authored, multilingual piece tackles language in its capacity to build relations amongst us, going far beyond one’s individual ability to decipher the meaning of words. I recorded the phrases in my own voice. Although making the effort to pronounce the words appropriately, the pronunciation remains "broken" and imperfect in many cases.
